Date: 08 April 2021 - 10 April 2021
For the fifth time, Sharjah Museums Authority is celebrating the World Heritage Day, which marks April 18, through the “Significance of Heritage Symbols” event at Bait Al Naboodah Museum.
The event sheds the light on the most prominent heritage symbols, such as the dallah, palm trees, ships, falcons, daggers, and the burqa.
Visitors can enjoy interactive activities, competitions, heritage events and various workshops, such as the coffee, ship, dagger and burqa workshops. In addition, the event provides the opportunity to visit an art exhibition by the artist Azza Al Qubaisi, through which she displays a collection of her work inspired by the palm tree and its parts. Visitors can also take a souvenir photo in the museum's digital studio.
Through this event, Sharjah Museums Authority aims to introduce the community to the cultural heritage that United Arab Emirates abounds in, to enrich people's awareness and knowledge and strengthen the links between people and heritage through fun filled educational activities.
