“Currency in Mileiha”
This book tackles the history of currency in Mileiha, the historical roots of currency evolution in the world, and its spread to replace barter. Barter was the only way for exchanging goods since the oldest of eras, until inventing currency in the 7th century B.C in Lydia, currently west of turkey
The book also reviews the story of introducing the currency to the Arabian Peninsula and launching trade centers to its east to produce the currency. It discusses launching a replica of Alexander the Great’s currency in Mileiha. The book explains, in detail, the most important symbols and images on Mileiha’s currency and their significance, in addition to a complete review, at the end of the book, of all the currencies exhibited at Sharjah Archaeological Museum, including their weights, manufacturing materials and sources.
